Amazon will create more than 500 jobs in France with the establishment of a new center in the Oise

Covering an area of 55,000 m², this new distribution center, whose establishment has been awaited for several months, will be responsible for receiving and sorting products.

The American giant of online commerce Amazon formalized on Friday January 10 the establishment of a new center in Senlis (Oise), which will start its activities in May and will allow the creation of 500 jobs by 2023.

Covering an area of 55,000 m², this new distribution center, whose establishment has been awaited for several months, will be responsible for receiving and sorting products, Amazon said in a statement.“We chose Senlis because we are near Paris (…) and that this site will simplify the deliveries of our 10,000 suppliers, VSEs and SMEs”, explained Ronan Bolé, president of Amazon Logistique France.

The Senlis site, located along the A1, about 20 km from Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airport, will be the 23rd logistics site for Amazon in France, where the company employs more than 9,300 people in CDI. Regularly accused of not paying enough taxes in France, Amazon announced in December that it had contributed to tax revenue in France to the tune of 250 million euros in 2018.
