Can we slow down the avalanche of social plans, while almost every day in this fall, we announce a social plan?
However, with the 100 billion euros, and its stimulus plan, the government is rushing to the rescue of companies and thus hopes to preserve jobs. The debate on the controls, the counterparts is rising. Is it possible to force the companies that have been helped not to lay off workers? Do we need sanctions if companies do not play the game?
They are the big winners of the crisis: the giants of the web, the famous “gafam”, for Google, Amazon, Facebook, Apple, Microsoft. And we have been talking about an international tax for several months, a Gafam tax. But this tax project is slipping: negotiations within the OECD for its implementation are laborious, the Americans refuse to move forward on the issue.
A Gafam tax without the Americans, does that make sense? Sticking to a European tax, is it effective? Isn't that a blow in the water?
