In New York, a Frenchwoman walks in the crowd of synonyms. Sandra Muller still lives in the United States, that's where she launched the hashtag #Balancetonporc on social networks. Since then, her life has changed. In October 2017, she invited victims of harassment to testify on Twitter. The famous Time magazine celebrates her as one of the breakers of silence of the year. In two years, she also suffered a bitter failure in court.
When she herself denounced an alleged harasser, Éric Brion had him convicted for defamation at first instance. The harassment was not recognized, the facts should have been repeated. “#Balancetonporc is not classy, but this behavior is even less classy”, says Sandra Muller. The latter launched an association to prevent sexist behavior in companies. She will return to France for her appeal trial, but wants to continue living in New York.
